Mrs. Escamilla, who was my art teacher when I went to Murchison, was brilliantly teaching her students how to do blind contour drawings, where the goal is to draw based on feel and intuition, since you're not allowed to watch your pencil on your paper. Students improved dramatically after only a few attempts!
