It's not every day that you find a kid plastered to a table in class. And it wasn't even a discipline issue! Students in Mrs. Escamilla's art classes are studying George Segal and recreating some of his human sculptures.
According to Wikipedia, "Segal pioneered the use of plaster bandages (plaster-impregnated gauze strips designed for making orthopedic casts) as a sculptural medium". These students are prepping for the final full body cast and possibly showcase in the cafeteria. I can't wait to see the end result!
