I got serenaded by an awesome marimba solo and got to hear some tympani practice (on the floor with drum sticks) before band practice even started this morning. Brought back a lot of great memories from my own percussion days. Looks like I'll have to secretly start practicing again so if I get called to substitute for a percussionist in a concert I'll be ready to go!
