6th graders did a lesson in advisory today about the power of words, and more specifically, on the hurtful nature of hateful words. Students each took a turn saying something mean to "Greenie" and then would rip a part of his/her body off. After everyone went, students said something nice and would tape Greenie back together. But the moral of the story is, no matter how nice we try to be, we can never get Greenie back to the same. Feelings were hurt and scars can last forever.
