After school today in the library was our first AVID site team meeting, which opened up with teachers modeling "Four Corners", an AVID strategy that gets participants up and moving to a corner of the room and defending their answer. After that, we had two current students say a few words about AVID and gave some great advice to teachers! Definitely the highlight of the meeting!
Then we went through some AVID organizational stuff, making sure we are all helping with whatever is needed to be done. Looks like Murchison is ready for another great year with our AVID students!
